Onboarding Frameworks
Adesic supports multiple onboarding models depending on customer type, integration needs, and compliance requirements. These models fall into two categories:
- Direct Onboarding (Adesic ↔ Customer)
- Partner/Embedded Onboarding (Adesic ↔ Business ↔ End-User)
1. Direct Onboarding (Individuals & Businesses)
Direct onboarding applies to all customers who have a direct relationship with Adesic.
- Individuals and businesses sign up and complete verification directly through the Adesic website using our hosted onboarding flow.
- This includes all standard customers, small–mid-size businesses, and most partners.
Enterprise Clients
For large enterprise institutions, onboarding begins by contacting Adesic Sales & Support to be connected with a representative who will guide the enterprise KYB and integration process.
2. Partner & Embedded Onboarding (B2B2C / B2B2B)
Partners who use Adesic to move money on behalf of their own customers must first complete their own onboarding through the Direct or Enterprise onboarding process above.
Once the partner is approved, they may onboard their end-customers using one of three supported methods:
Hosted KYC/KYB Link
Recommended for most partners
Partners can generate a hosted onboarding link via Adesic’s Website or API. The link directs the end-customer to a complete verification flow powered by Sumsub.
How it works:
- Partner calls our Website or API to create a verification session.
- The Website or API generates a unique onboarding URL.
- Partner sends the link to their customer (email, SMS, in-app, etc.).
- Customer completes all KYC/KYB steps through the hosted Sumsub flow.
- Adesic receives the verified data and provides an approval decision.
Use cases:
- Fastest onboarding method
- Minimal compliance overhead
- Ideal for B2C and mixed B2B/B2C platforms
Partner-Collected Data via API Submission
In this model, the partner collects all KYC/KYB data inside their own platform and submits it to Adesic through API endpoints.
How it works:
- Partner gathers required compliance documents and identity data (ID images, business documents, UBO details, etc.).
- Partner uploads all data via Adesic’s API.
- Adesic performs verification and returns an approval decision.
Use cases:
- Regulated platforms already performing KYC/KYB
- White-label or deeply embedded onboarding flows
- Businesses requiring full UX control
- Integration requires more engineering and compliance resources
Sumsub Reusable KYC (Trilateral Data-Sharing Agreement)
Enterprise-only; requires legal and compliance approval
This model uses Sumsub’s reusable KYC networks, allowing customers to re-use identity profiles across multiple platforms.
How it works:
- Adesic, Sumsub, and the enterprise partner sign a trilateral data-sharing agreement.
- The partner verifies customers through Sumsub’s reusable KYC network.
- Sumsub securely shares verified profiles with Adesic.
Notes:
- Requires legal, compliance, and technical configuration
- Only offered to high-volume or enterprise institutions
- Not available for standard/self-serve integrations
