How Transactions Work

Understanding the complete lifecycle of cryptocurrency transactions on Adesic’s platform.

This guide explains how our Transaction API processes different types of transactions, from initiation to completion, including timing expectations and the underlying infrastructure that powers our on/off ramp services.

Transaction Types Overview

Adesic supports three main types of transactions:

  • Fiat-to-Crypto - Convert fiat currency to cryptocurrency
  • Crypto-to-Fiat - Convert cryptocurrency to fiat currency
  • Crypto-to-Crypto - Swap between different cryptocurrencies across blockchains

Transaction Flow

Our on-ramp (fiat → crypto) and off-ramp (crypto → fiat) transactions follow the same steps, just in reverse.

1. Transaction Initiation

You submit a request with:

  • Amount to convert
  • Currency pair (e.g. USDC → USD)
  • Destination (bank account or crypto wallet)

2. Deposit

  • Crypto-to-Fiat: Send crypto to your unique deposit address.
  • Fiat-to-Crypto: Send a wire or ACH to our bank account.
  • Each transaction is linked to your request via a unique reference ID.

3. Matching & Confirmation

Our system automatically matches your deposit:

  • Blockchain confirmations for crypto (varies by chain)
  • Bank confirmation for fiat wires (same-day during banking hours)

4. Processing

Two possible paths:

Fast Track (Pre-funded):

  • If we have USD liquidity pre-funded, we release the wire immediately after crypto confirms.
  • Wire Timing: Within minutes if during banking hours; if after cutoff, next business day.

Standard Processing:

  • Crypto or fiat is sent to our liquidity provider for conversion.
  • Wire Timing: Same business day if before ~3 PM ET, otherwise next business day.
  • Larger amounts may require extra review.

5. Settlement & Completion

  • We initiate the outgoing wire once funds settle.
  • Domestic wires: Typically 1–3 business days to appear in your bank.
  • International wires: Add 1–2 business days.
  • Transaction status is updated and confirmation sent.

Best Practices

For Faster Processing

  • Always Use supported currencies (USDT, USDC)
  • Initiate transactions during banking hours (9 AM - 3 PM ET)
  • Ensure accurate bank details to avoid delays
  • Complete KYC verification in advance

For Reliable Transactions

  • Double-check wallet addresses before sending crypto
  • Include correct reference IDs for automatic matching
  • Monitor transaction status through our API or dashboard
  • Contact support for transactions over 24 hours old

Troubleshooting

Common Issues
